Due to the magazine article we are totally sold out of this purse! Our next shipment will arrive the first of September so check back to our website online store if you are interested..Fair Trade and artisan crafted — our artisans receive so many benefits when we sell their designs!! ---------new sewing centers for our Fair Trade artisans along with classes to learn to sew. We have worked with these groups for several years and they are in need of sewing machines, sewing lessons, tables, and supplies in order to increase their income with sewn items.

---------to fundraise for a new Christian Education Center, MIRETO Kids, in Panajachel, Guatemala. It will be used for Christian Education classes throughout the week for the church, MIRETO (Ministry of Total Restoration) and also will be used for Bible studies during the day. They will be opening their doors to street children to have a place of rest, a place to learn if they are unable to go to school and a safe place during the day. Eventually a day care center will be opened. Funds are needed for everyday expenses as well as for equipment: tables, chairs, book shelves, desks, cleaning equipment, etc.

May 2011 -- Educational Weaving Tour to Guatemala. The members of the weaving tour didn't let the language barrier stop them from having a good time and learning the new skill of backstrap weaving. They traveled and met artisan groups, learned about the daily lives and how their weavings and handcrafts helps their families. They even took time to learn a few words in T'zutujil and how the artisans make dyes for the cotton yarn from plants and vegetables.

August 2011 -- Education And More presents 3 sewing centers to help women learn a new skill and be able to help earn money for their families.

Sewing lessons begin and will continue for months so the women are accomplished seamstresses when they are finished.
September 2011 -- E&M announces a fundraising effort to give all the children of the Choacruz artisan group, Artesanas T'zaput, help in attending the local school. Donations are being accepted to help purchase backpacks and school supplies for all the school age children from pre-school through high school.
