Education And More is a Christian nonprofit organization working to help alleviate poverty and
increase educational opportunities in rural Guatemala. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is what
moves us to reach out and help our neighbors in Guatemala in their daily lives as well as in
their future.
Our Sponsorship Program is in partnership with churches so that students may receive an
education and well as the spirtual foundation of the Gospel. Students of all ages - children
through adult - are welcomed into the program to advance their education from first grade
through their university studies.
We are a Fair Trade organization and assist disadvantaged artisans in marketing their
handcrafts thereby creating economic opportunities for artisans who are otherwise unable to
earn an income. In addition to earning a fair wage for their work we strive to improve the lives
of the families through educational opportunities for the artisan as well as their families, help
women develop and improve technical skills to grow their businesses, give interest free
micro-credit loans and grants to help their businesses, and give product materials for
handcraft orders in advance. We develop long term relationships with the artisans so they
have a stable souce of income and assistance.
“If anyone has material
possessions and sees his
brother in need but has no
pity on him, how can the love
of God be in him?”

a backstrap or a simple floor loom.
Clara Ayres - a lifelong educator with children and a passion to help the
disadvantaged in the world.
Jennifer Lance-Peimann is the associate director. She has a background in grant
