12 inch backstrap loom that has been hand carved by one of our Mayan artisans in the western mountains of Guatemala. Juan lives up in the mountains above San Pedro and takes great pride in his work. He is able to provide for his family with the fair wages he recieves for his looms.
All pieces shown are included -- not included are the stick shuttle and the rope to attach the backstrap and to attach the back rod to the post. The Mayan women usually use a small stick wound with the yarn as a shuttle.
