Guatemalan Crossbody Huipil Handwoven Fair Trade Bag
These crossbody bags are made from handwoven cloth from our artisans and repurposed huipil leftovers from other projects. The huipils (or typical Mayan blouses) are hand embroidered and very colorful. They are all different and unique.
The front uses the curved neckline to make a pocket that is perfect for a phone, keys or other quick access items. Some of the necklines show some wear. The back is from handwoven cotton and also features a zippered pocket that is lined. The top of the purse closes with a zipper and is fully lined with black cotton. The handle is of the is of the same handwoven fabric and is adjustable so that it can be an over the shoulder or a crossbody bag.
We only have 1 of each design so you are assured of a one of a kind purse.
The bags measurement vary from 9X6 up to 11x6. The measurements are listed on the pics of the bag.
Along with the fair wages that the artisans earn, they also receive extra benefits since all profits are returned to them in the form of Home improvements, education and classes for the women.
