Palopo Weavers is a family group that were devastated with rain and mudslides in the tropical storm Agatha that hit Guatemala in 2010. Six members of this family died, 8 of their homes were washed away and all of their inventory and samples of handcrafts including their looms. With the help they receive from Fair Trade wages from E&M they are rebuilding their homes and lives. They weave beautiful scarves in addition to our Prayer Pockets, Gospel Bracelets and friendship bracelets.
